Vougliameni

A moins de 10 minutes de chez nous, juste apres Varkiza, il y a Vougliameni, la ou il y a les plus belles plages de Athenes  :-)  Ce matin pour la premiere fois depuis notre arrivee, (enfin) direction la plage ! C'etait comme en vacances !  

Varkiza

A 5 minutes en voiture de chez nous, il y a aussi Varkiza. Nous y sommes alles hier pour manger avec la tante de mon cheri et son cheri a elle.  La prochaine fois, on y retourne et on y trouve une plage :-)

Glyfada

Glyfada est a 5 minutes en voiture de chez nous. C'est un quartier sud de la banlieue de Athenes et c'est bien sympa avec des magasins, des restaurants, la montagne et la mer. 

Rdv avec Virginia et Kalajo au "Lemonia", un super grill house ou on a mange comme des orgres pour 12,50 eur par personne. 

A cote des balancoires et des jeux pour les gamins, il y a aussi des machines de gym gratos dans les parcs a Athenes.

J'avais enfin pris mon appareil photo lors d'une sortie avec nos amis ... 

 

Coussin

Avec les chutes de mes rideaux, j'ai fait ce petit coussin. Mon cheri m'a dit en arrivant hier soir " il est mignon ce coussin, tu l'as achete ou ? "     :-)

Oui alors, l'ampoule bleue pour notre lustre du couloir, ca n'etait peut etre pas une bonne idee ...  :-)

Quelle chaleur !

Hier, 20 Sept, je me baladais au Piree mais il a fallut que je m'arrete pour boire un cafe frappe bien glace parce que avec 32,5c ... j'ai eu chaud !!  :-)  

Premier diner d'affaire

Hier soir, j'ai joue "la femme de " pendant un diner d'affaire de mon cheri avec un gros client. Il fallait que je mette sur mon 31. Pour l'occasion, j'ai achete la robe. Thank you to Virginia for the bag, the shoes and the fashion advices  :-)

... avec Virginia a Glyfada. Ca valait bien une petite photo ! Nous buvons un cafe frappe, la boisson officielle en Grece, surtout quand il fait chaud ... eh oui, il faisait 29c hier ...  :-)

A month in Athens

En France on a nos "tetes de negre", en Grece ils ont leurs "petits negres". Les patisseries grecques sont pleines de creme et a tomber !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So unfortunately Bella would have been miserable here so we sadly left her in London. My hubby fell in love with Tolis when he was very young. He is now 4 months and a half.

C'est loin d'etre fini mais j'ai entendu que certains voulaient voir des photos de l'appart ...

So, to update everyone ...  life is gooooooooooood so far !!!! We are settling down slowly in the flat and I am getting used to our new life in our new country :-)   

Few things I have already learnt ...  some basics road rules : 1. When the traffic light is orange, you should accelerate ! If you dare to slow down to stop, you are being honked and shouted at !! 2. The flash lights to show that you turn or you change lane clearly do not exist on Greek cars. 3. At a traffic light, you don't start when the green light is on, you should start when the little crossing green light man becomes red. Here again, if you don't you are being honked and and shouted at ! 4. You can always go 20 kilometers above the normal speed limit, the cops don't bother for less.  


But to be honest, so far, this is the only downside ( compared to all the upsides )  I found to our life here  :-)
